Relocated employees and expats: mobility from day one, for the length of the assignment
You're bringing in a specialist for a few months, to another city or from another country. How to sort out their mobility without them buying a car and without a contract longer than the assignment.

An engineer comes to a factory in another city for eight months. A consultant moves to Romania for a one-year project. Both need a car from the first week, but neither wants to buy one for a temporary stay.
Why the first few weeks matter
The first weeks of a relocation are the busiest: housing, paperwork, the children's school, settling into the team. If transport isn't sorted, all of this takes longer, and the employee takes longer to become productive.
The company's options
- Public transport or taxisWorks in big cities, for simple journeys. It becomes awkward when the workplace is on the edge of the city.
- A car from the existing fleetOnly if there's one free, and usually there isn't.
- A subscription for the length of the assignmentA dedicated car, for 1–12 months, for a single monthly cost. It's handed back when the assignment ends.
The length of the assignment becomes the length of the subscription
You choose the term based on the employee's contract. If the assignment is extended, what you need can be reviewed at the end of the period. If it ends, the car is handed back and no long-term obligation remains.
For expats coming on their own
Not all relocated professionals come through an employer. If you're moving to Romania for a while and want a car only for as long as you're here, you'll find the option for individuals on the dedicated page.
